This is very sad that we have a village council that is out to stop the growth of the equestrian industry here. If we keep letting them do this is it will be a huge impact on all our lives. Wake up people!

Wow, a corrupt bribed $500,000 village council recently elected is going to destroy the equestrian industry in Wellington in their first term. Haven't we all (year round equestrians and seasonals) benefitted from the growth of the equestrian industry? Well groomed bridle path, great show grounds in and around Wellington (Jim Brandon) and well doing shopping centers (compared to the other commercial vacancy rates in Palm Beach County)? They are "hoping" to destroy the dressage center, bringing up old roads that weren't properly approved over 10 years ago leading to WEF, and now no WEG either. What's going next the only thing I can think of is my property value. Good job Wellington.

Wow this is awful. Can someone explain in very simple terms, the evolution of Wellington politics and how it went from a place wanting to increase equestrian events and business to this? I am totally confused.  Huh

And the romper room drama continues…. Silly boy, pointing fingers are others when there is no one to blame but himself.  Misleading the public to believe he could bring the World Equestrian Games to Wellington without a viable financial or logistical plan to produce such an event.  The Village of Wellington has not been presented with a plan, the FEI has not been presented with a plan….
A charismatic personality opened the door but the bullying and misleading tactics were not enough without an actual proposal of where the financing will come from, how the community could absorb the influx of people, or where specifically the events would be held.
With his uncanny ability to spin the story he portrays himself the victim.  I suggest he clean up his business ethics and take responsibility for improving his current “vision” and the issues surrounding it before making more promises he cannot keep.
