This event is at Animal Control, on Belvedere Road and Skees. Peggy Adams is a separate shelter on Military Trail just north of Okeechobee.

The ACC special is $4 adoptions of any animal (includes spay/neuter, microchip & all vaccs) and ends at 6 pm today!

God I hope for the $4 price there will be no fisherman looking for bait or dog fighters looking for dogs to train their fighting dogs. This puts them all at risk.

I think they vet the prospective homes pretty thoroughly.  I have a coworker who makes a very decent living who was not able to adopt a dog from ACC, forgot the exact reason, maybe because he was renting at the time or let it slip that his house was going in foreclosure and he was moving soon.

no they don't i went there with a friend of mine 2x to adopt dogs and they did not check anything except she said she rented and they called the landlord and asked if it was OK for her to have them  for all they know they could have been talking to the bum on the corner
if you want a pitbull then they do a home visit
