Congratulations West Pines 4-H club for State Awards!

The girls from West Pines 4-H club who qualified for the State show proved themselves excellent representatives of Palm Beach County.  They came home with the Grand Champion Emerald award and the Golden Shovel award in addition to many ribbons.  Competition was tough, but our girls held their own!  The Emerald award is given to the county that best exemplifies the 4H philosophy through stall theme and decorations.  The Golden Shovel award is given to the county that keeps the stall space the cleanest. 
4H is a wonderful program that is so much more than just "shows".  If you are interested in participating next year please contact me or Wendy Wagner for more information.

Yes, Congratulations indeed!  Qualifying for 4H State represents a great dedication to the craft for these young ladies.  As stated, 4H is about more than just shows - it is a wonderful program for young people who have an affinity for animals and for participating in, and giving back, to the community.
