Good morning,
I thought I could figure this out on my own, but it appears I cannot.... can anybody let me know how to find a dated post from one or two years back please?

I went into the Search and put in the obvious stuff, but am not getting any results.

Can you post directions please?
Thank you!
Ingrid

The posts are automatically deleted after a certain amount of time and inactivity.  Sorry.  You might have to repost the subject and start the thread over.and maybe you will get the info you need.

I was looking for that great discussion that compared the cost of running a box fan vs. a high velocity fan that was on here a while back and can't find that any more either (I thought I had printed it out - darn!).

If anyone has that info and would like to share - I'd thank you kindly!  Grin

I have the opposite problem. I posted a Hennig saddle for sale here over two years ago:

http://wellington-wef.com/sm/index.php?action=printpage;topic=23244.0

When people do a google search for Hennig saddle for sale, it comes up in the top results.  This saddle sold a long time ago, but people still contact me as frequently as once a month or so.  It's annoying and wastes their time and mine.  There seems to be no way to erase this ad or mark it sold.  This is the only website I have this problem with.  Why is this so?

Ingrid, my advice to you if you are looking for an old post, don't use wellington-wef's own search feature, use Google's and put "w-wef" in some part of the search term.  You just might find a cached version floating around out there somewhere!

Also, if you ever responded to the post you are looking for, check your own posting history in your profile.  Sometimes this shows old deleted posts, sometimes not.  There seems to be no logic.

There's also the Wayback Machine . . . (google it) but ironically, as my Hennig post proves, using it seems not to be necessary with this site!

Thanks for the suggestion.  I tried the Google search but came up empty. Sad
