I am on the search for a trainer and would like some information on how to choose and what should I look for.
English please. I know riding weather it is english or western you must teach your horse how to move his body parts.
Any information would be great. Thanks....

I do not want there to be any recommendations or discussion about individual trainers on this post ... But you are able to share what qualities you feel are important when avoiding or picking a trainer ....  Thank you.

It depends on what your learning skills are. Also, some people respond well when their teachers are aggressive and demanding and others respond to patient, rewarding teachers. Imagine yourself in a lesson and your trainer was telling you how to do something after you've failed three times trying to do it correctly. How would you want your trainer to act? Take some trial lessons with different trainers and ask friends for recommendations.

Most importantly do they put the welfare of the horse before anything else?
