Ingrid ..you should start an online book club on the site ... I could give you a sticky space every month for posts about the book of choice ... let me know if you think that sounds like fun.

Please please start a book club! I am in dire need of someone to tell me the great "horsey" novels out there. I read Dark Horse already...this new book has horses too?!!?

Thanks Jill.. not sure how to do a book club.. but I am sure we can find somebody that does and is willing to organize.. or show me how...
Anyway, chapter one: some of the things mentioned: Palm Beach Point, Dirt Roads, Players Club, Grand Prix Feed, Warm Bloods, Loxahatchee, Meth Labs, Red Necks, Aligators in the c.a.n.a.l.s. and so on.. Only read the first chapter....
too funny.....

I read the Alibi Man. Loved it. Didn't really like the main charachter, but loved the book. Just finished her other one about the bike messanger. That is GREAT. I think its called Don't shoot the messanger. A book club would be a fantastic idea, count me in.

Sounds like fun......I read all the time. I purchased a Kindle last January and have read about 50 something books since then. I will order this book as soon as I am done with the one I am reading. Count me in on a book club.

This one looks promissing as well.. completely different venue, horse/animal related of course...
Horses of the Storm Horses of the Storm is an inspiring and gripping first-hand account of how the Louisiana State University's Equine Rescue Team saved hundreds of horses and other animals in southern Louisiana from the devastation following Hurricane Katrina.
Includes Emergency Preparedness Guide
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of every book benefits the LSU Equine Health Studies Program.

Hi Ingrid, I read the book. It's good! A little more "gore" than Dark Horse. But an exciting read that you won't want to put down. For sure some chuckles about local places and personalities. I'll be in a book club if you start one!

I read Dark Horse, and Prior Bad Acts, both good but the one about the bike messenger is great! I think it's called Don't Shoot the Messenger. Very good read. The characters are much more likable. I found myself disliking the main characters in Dark Horse and The other one that is the follow up to Dark Horse.

I would love to join a book club on this forum! Not just novels but equestrian training books too! Ingrid, keep us up to date and let us know. Pick a book and start discussing chapter 1 Jill can you add two book discussion catagories. One for novels and one for training books? I have read three of Tami's novels. "Don't kill the messenger" was my fav.. I read them so long ago I would have to check them out at the library again if we had a discussion group.

I've enjoyed reading many of Tami's books, fun to read since I have stabled next to her at shows over the years...I had to read the Alibi Man again after seeing the Goodman trial. I kept thinking this reminds me of a Tami Hoag book without the plot... Not the same cirstances, but uncannily similar. Looking forward to her next one.
