I wonder if anyone can help me with a heart breaking problem...My son has a gorgeous pitbull mix - looks like it might be with American Bull Terrier.  Anyways, long story short....He has to move back in with his mother (due to financial reasons) and can not take his dog as they have a 'No Pit' home owners insurance policy.  Unfortunately I can not take him as I am in a rental home with a definate no large dog policy.  This is a great dog...gets on well with other dogs as long as they are on his side of the fence, he loves to hunt for lizards and if you happen to have a pond, then good luck getting him out as he loves to swim and fish...I have seen him patiently wait and then with lightning speed, dunk his head under water and pull out a fish!  His only downfall, is that he does not like small kids...he was a rescue, so my son has no idea of his history.
So, having said all that, does anyone know of a NO KILL Pit rescue that may be able to help us...OR better yet, do any of you kind people know of anyone who may want him?  This is absolutly breaking my son's heart as he loves that dog.

try contacting the american bull dog rescue: ABR. they are online and they will refer you to all of the no kill rescues in the area. We had to place one of ours and they were a big help.
Good luck.
