You will have the opportunity to ride in lessons with Grand Prix trainer, Leif Aho and have an opportunity to show. This position is open to a beginner rider but must have some horse knowledge and not be afraid of handling horses on the groud. However a first/ second level rider is preferred. We also have a great opportunity for a talented young rider aiming for the 2014 NAJYRC.

In need of a working student at a dressage facility. Need help feeding, tacking, grooming and mucking (1day a week) 5 days a week. In exchange you can get a horse! 2 to choose from, jumper backgrounds. These horses were once boarded here but the owner has abandoned them, thi is our way of getting something from them. They are just getting started back under saddle again after having a year off since the owner disappeared. They have nice confirmation and seem to have good temperaments. I am unsure of their history.

Con artists? I feel taken by vets more than these "con artists" we have a vet do dentistry work before and he did a horrible job, didn't even mention that our horse had wolf teeth still! Getting your doctorate doesn't make you a good doctor. You may have had it heard if a bad experience with one dentist or Chiro but that doesn't mean they are all bad.. Just sayin.

Well I've only read a little bit of this thread but I'm rooting for reybrewster. I believe good dogs come from good breeding. If there weren't breeders there wouldn't be different breeds. I have always boughten from a breeder and guess what? I still have my dogs. A saluki and a corgi X chihauhua (she was an accident but couldn't be more perfect!) I have also had in the past a borzoi, greyhound (since he was a pup) and a wolf hybred. If it weren't for breeders we wouldnt have pure bred healthy dogs (I am speaking of reputable breeders of course).

I too think it I ridiculous how much money people pour out into a sick dog to possibly save it rather than just put it down (horses too) when they could have used that money towards helping healthier animals. And it's even more upsetting to see how much more protected dogs and cats are than children. If only people were that concerned for the kids in foster care!

Hey Joann. You should check out Maja Hoffner. She did our wedding and engagement pictures. Loved her! She was very comfortable to be around and did an awesome job! Of course ours had a little more drama in the pictures because of thuderstorms near by but still lived her style and the price was right too. Thanks for all your replies, I didn't realize Peggy Adams was a kill shelter, I certainly would not want that for Kitty. Right now I am just to overwhelmed with my new baby and 2 dogs and helping my husband with the horses. If kitty doesn't have a relatively clean litterbox she will go else wear and it's very easy to forget.. Which is why we got the automatic but it scared her. I totally believe in raising kids with animals, we have a pony being bred for our little girl, it's how I grew up too but right now it's 1 more thing I have to do. She really is a cool cat and very beautiful. If I have someone helping me find a home for her I have no problem keeping her until then, ive been procrastinating this for a few months now so I don't mind a little longer for her to go Tina good home.

Kitty is a beautiful medium haired calico, she is 3 years old gets along with dogs and other cats is declawed and is super sweet. She is the perfect cat besides she doesn't use her litter box when it's dirty. We need to get rid of her this week or we will be bringing her to Peggy Adams. She comes with her cat tower, automatic litterbox (which she won't use but if you have other cats have at it, its worth $200.) and regular litterbox (which she will use)
I wish we could keep her as a barn cat but she is declawed so she must stay inside. We are getting rid of her because we have a 3 month old baby and don't need the extra hair around the house especially when our baby gets tithe crawling stage. This really is a cool cat, she plays with our dogs and comes when you call her (9iftar the time) Kitty is very sweet and adapts to other cats quickly. If I can't find a home for her by next Sunday I will be brining her to Peggy Adams. My baby comes before a cat.

Pretty medium haired Calico Kitty needs a new home. Kitty is almost 3 years old, looks like a ragdoll only calico in color. super sweet, is declawed in front so must be an indoor cat. loves people and dogs and gets along with other cats. comes with cat tower, littermaid automatic box and reg box. We just started feeding 2 of our horses Thrive feed and it has made a world of difference... Expensive but worth it. Our gelding had serious colonic ulcers and was really hard to put on weight and a super picky slow eater. Now he loves his feed (grain free) we haven't had any problems with ulcers and he's growing a black coat (with no supplements!!)  And is putting on weight and muscle. Thrivefeed.com

Kitty is a beautiful 2 year old calico cat she looks and acts like a ragdoll but her real breed is unknown. she is declawed is excellent with dogs (as long as they like cats) and is good with other cats. she is indoor material only as she grew up indoors and is declawed. she loves to lay on your lap and cuddle. kitty and our little dog love playing with eachother. sadly I have to find a new home for kitty as I am gearing up for my own baby on the way and want a cleaner enviroment in the house. Kitty comes with a cat tower, littermaide litter box (only a few months old) I am asking $200.00 for her and her kitty things. the littermaid costs $250 new and the cat tower is $80 new. both are in excellent shape.

So with shipping to florida the cost would be about $5.09 a bag if delivered in bulk, if we had a feed store get it in it would be around 6.50-7.50 a bag.

No it isn't like equine pine, I have yet to see how it breaks down, we just now filled a stall with it but according to the manufacturer it doesn't turn to dust or Fine powere. You don't have to water the stalls either because it is a dust free bedding. Again this is what I'm told I will find out the facts when in a few days

Is anyone interested in the USDF "L" program in Wellington area? Or hosting/ organizing it? Just thought I would check if there is any interest. Would love to do the class but don't want to travel to GA so many times and thought there must be some interest here. But I am by no means an organizer nor have the proper facility for it. Just a thought! :-)

I randomly came across some information about a bedding called StreuFEX, we happened to be in SC near a feed store that sold it and bought 25 bags to test if this bedding is as great and cost efficient as they say it is. I am still working on getting more info on pricing and shipping costs (the plant is in NC) but assuming all goes well would anyone be interested in splitting a truck load or several people splitting one or having a line up of people buying a pallet or 2. Here is sone information I was sent:

There are 66 bags per pallet and 23 pallets per truck load - 1518 bags total. Quite often we are able sent just a half truck load to split the load with another customer in the area.
 
The pallets are stretch wrapped and capped and can be stored outside.
 
The initial setup is 6 bags per 12x12 stall and the replacement during cleaning is a bag every 4 to 7 days
. (I have read some reviews claiming they didn't have to add a bag for 13 days, obviously this differs from horse to horse)
The  price of STREUfex is $ 3.99 per bag ex factory, Lumberton,

I will let you know how the test goes, if you are interested in testing this yourself I can sale 1 person 6-8 bags for 7.99 each (we paid 6.99 and went  out of the way to get it) they are 30lbs and are smaller than a bag of pelleted shavings, which is great for storing.

This is great hay! Our horses (14) do very well on it, they are big heavy bales 16-17 good sized flakes in ever bale no dust. Way better then red barn or wellingtons edge! (and cheaper for higher weight and quality!)

Looking for a good home for a female lab mix. Koko was just spayed, owner can no longer keep her, just got her spayed a month ago. she is good with horses, cats and other dogs. has good manners comes when called, speaks on command, and sits. Koko is a very sweet dog and doesn't run away (though will roam with other dogs, but always comes back...  she is currently on 80 acres so technically shes still on the property) she is a great barn dog and currently lives outside 24-7 and loves to sleep on top of tack truncks. I do not know if she is house trained, if not I'm sure it wouldn't take long. Koko is about 2-3 years old.

I have a Friesian mare that has to have a fly sheet at night (allergic to bugs) I really like the Rambo dust buster. It's $99 on dover and it has the best neck attachement (actually goes to the top of the neck.) and has a tail cover and drops down at the legs. it's breathable, but the fabric may be a little thicker than you are hoping for. though I have had no problems with it in the florida heat.
