BW Furlong & Associates is an equine veterinary practice located in Oldwick, NJ. The practice employs 14 veterinarians that practice in the Northeast, as well as 3 that practice in north Florida and Virginia. It is an extremely fast-paced and busy practice, serving and caring for some of the most prestigious clientele in the country. During the winter months, members of the practice transition to Wellington, FL to cover the Winter Equestrian Festival. Employees of the company are all expected to demonstrate the core beliefs.


Provide ambulatory assistance to Dr. Meg Mullin
Support veterinarian through examinations and medical procedures by physically being involved in the handling and preparation of the horses
Stock and manage ambulatory inventory & equipment
Manage daily schedule and appointments
Operate Triple Crown software to track and maintain up-to-date client history, reports, appointments, and invoices
Communicate effectively with clients

Exceptional time management, organization, and multitasking skills
An outstanding team attitude and work ethic
Experience in handling & jogging horses
Strong education & work background in equine medicine/health is preferred
Technologically advanced
Quick-thinker, self-motivated, and a fast learner
Capable of heavy lifting, including hay bales, feed bags, and muck buckets
This position offers hourly pay commensurate with experience, as well as discounted veterinary services and products. Work week will be 5-6 days a week, including routine weekend work. Overtime is paid at 1.5x rate for time over 40 hours each week. The position will end approximately April 1, 2017. Housing is potentially available as part of compensation.
